Japan Grand Touring Car Championship FD RX-7.
Super GT RX7. We built this RX7 in New Zealand
for the Super GT championship which we won. Marks RX7 is still
the only RX7 in New Zealand to do under a minute around Pukekohe.
We took the car to Japan and raced in the JGTC with factory
Mazda race driver Katayama. Here are some photos I have taken
at different points of development. Mark siting next to Katayama
at Fuji speedway, look at the crowds. The engine is a 20B PP
using factory 13G engine parts. We used a Motec computer and
Hollinger 6 speed gearbox. This car is still in Japan and we
build and service the engines here at Kiwi RE in New Zealand. |
